1. Guest Cancellation
a. 48 hours or more before the experience: Full refund (100%)
b. 24–48 hours before: 50% refund
c. Less than 24 hours: No refund
2. No-Show Policy
If a guest does not show up at the scheduled time, no refund will be issued.
3. Rescheduling
Allowed once, only if requested 24+ hours in advance. Subject to host availability.
4. Host Cancellation
If a host cancels: Guest receives 100% refund, OR option to reschedule with the same or another host. Repeat host cancellations may lead to suspension.
5. Late Arrivals
Guests are expected to arrive on time. Hosts are not obligated to extend service time. No refunds for missed portions due to late arrival.
6. Partial Attendance
If fewer guests show up than booked, no partial refund will be issued.
7. Emergency Exceptions
In genuine emergencies (medical, etc.), Dastaan may offer a partial refund or reschedule credit, at Dastaan's sole discretion.

Approved refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days.
1. Information We Collect
Personal identification info (name, phone, email, profile photo), device location and IP address, payment info processed via third-party gateways (full card details are never stored), and usage and analytics data.
2. How We Use Your Information
To create and manage accounts, verify identity, enable bookings and transactions, facilitate Host-Guest communication, ensure platform safety, process payments, prevent fraud, and improve our services.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share info with other users (guest name and photo visible to hosts; host address only after booking confirmation), service providers (payment processors, KYC, cloud storage), and legal authorities when required by law.
4. Host Address Confidentiality
Host residential addresses are confidential, not publicly displayed, and shared only after booking confirmation. Misuse may result in account suspension.
5. Data Security
We use encryption, secure servers, access controls, OTP-based authentication, and masked communication between users.
6. Account Deletion
Via Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Legal financial records may be retained as required by law.

1. Nature of the Platform
Dastaan is a technology-based SaaS marketplace connecting independent Hosts (home cooks) with Guests. Dastaan is NOT a restaurant, does not own or control host premises, does not prepare food, and is not responsible for conduct at host properties.
2. User Eligibility
Must be 18 years or above, provide accurate information, and comply with local laws.
3. Booking and Payment
Guests pay through the Platform. A service and commission fee is deducted. The remaining amount is remitted to Hosts via third-party payment gateways.
4. Cancellation Policy
48 hours or more: Full refund (excluding platform fee). 24 to 48 hours: Partial refund. Under 24 hours: No refund unless Host cancels, in which case the Guest receives a full refund.
5. Food Safety Disclaimer
Dastaan does not prepare, inspect, or guarantee food quality. Hosts are solely responsible. Guests with allergies attend at their own risk.
6. Limitation of Liability
Total liability shall not exceed the service fee paid for the relevant booking.
7. Dispute Resolution
Arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. Seat: Hyderabad. Courts of Hyderabad have exclusive jurisdiction.
8. Menu Disclosure Clause
Hosts are required to provide accurate and complete details of all dishes served, including ingredients and preparation methods. This includes, but is not limited to, the explicit disclosure of items such as beef, pork, alcohol, or any other ingredients that may be subject to dietary, cultural, or religious restrictions.
9. Guest Acknowledgment Clause
By confirming a booking, the Guest acknowledges that they have reviewed the full menu, ingredient disclosures, and kitchen details provided by the Host, and agrees to participate in the experience with full awareness of the same.
10. Platform Liability Limitation
Dastaan acts solely as a facilitator connecting Hosts and Guests. While reasonable efforts are made to ensure accurate information, Dastaan shall not be held liable for any dietary, cultural, or personal conflicts arising from the consumption of food served during the experience, provided that such information was disclosed by the Host.
11. Host Responsibility Clause
Hosts shall be solely responsible for the accuracy of all menu disclosures and for ensuring that no undisclosed ingredients are served. Any failure to disclose sensitive ingredients may result in suspension or removal from the platform, along with other appropriate actions.
12. Dietary Responsibility Clause (Guest)
Guests are responsible for reviewing all provided information and for communicating any specific dietary restrictions, allergies, or preferences prior to the experience. Dastaan shall not be responsible for any adverse outcomes arising from a Guest's failure to do so.
13. Zero Surprise Policy
Dastaan enforces a strict "No Undisclosed Ingredients" policy. Serving any ingredient not previously disclosed to the Guest at the time of booking constitutes a violation of platform guidelines and may result in immediate action against the Host.
14. Indemnity Clause
Guests and Hosts agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dastaan from any claims, disputes, or damages arising out of dietary preferences, cultural sensitivities, or personal beliefs, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence by the platform.
